Park Construction Pavement FinishingPavement finishing is an important composition and communication element of the green areas. Selection of pavement finishing relates to both designers solution and serving a particular purpose. They are a foregoing factor to be envisaged in a park project to enable precise determining of the type and quantity. According to the purpose they are to serve finishing can be reinforced and pedestrian area finishing. Reinforced finishing is most commonly used in car access areas. Depending on the bearing loads, different finishing pavements exist, but sharing in common concrete base reinforcement. It all depends on the type of vehicles to access the area. With public and shopping areas, access for heavier vehicles has to be envisaged. In such a case, avoid using tiling, as these are more appropriate finishing for pedestrian areas and paths and areas of less loading, such as housing buildings, where cars in most cases would be parked. Recently grass-mats have gained popularity, since they provide a grassed parking area for cars. But their application should be limited to parking areas of less loading and availability of irrigation. They are suitable for detached houses or representative office buildings. We also do not recommend using concrete grass frames, since concrete accumulates heat during summer and burns the grass. The effect is negative. It can be best implemented in isolated parking areas, having hedge-rows and broad-leaved trees casting shadow in summer, as well as appropriate and reliable sub-base. |
